Welcome to West Side
Tenth West Side is an incredibly diverse group of people doing their best to live in the way of Jesus. We want to give our attention to God—to join him in building a world marked by peace, learning, and a commitment to the good of others.
Whether you have a long history of faith or have just begun exploring spirituality, we hope you’ll feel a sense of belonging in our community.
Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
Join Us on Sundays
In every Sunday gathering, we spend time singing together and hearing teaching from the Bible; we pray together and celebrate communion (where we share bread and wine/juice as a way of participating in the life of Jesus). Our desire is that all the parts of the Sunday service enable us to follow God more closely.
Each week we’ll have refreshments after the service and a time to connect with people of different backgrounds.
Sundays at 5pm | Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church, 2733 W 41st Ave

Get Involved
Building meaningful relationships is essential for growing in faith. When we connect with others, we can find support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. These relationships help us navigate life's challenges and deepen our understanding of God's love. Here are some ways you can experience the joy and gifts of connection.
Kids & Youth
We create a safe, welcoming space for children and youth to meet Jesus and become rooted in the knowledge that we are known, loved, and valued. At West Side, we believe our kids and youth grow in faith when we all worship together, which is why everyone is together when we start our service. After our kids moment up front, kids and youth are invited to go to services dedicated to their own age group.
Be sure to check in your kids at the welcome table in our church foyer before the service and check them out from their dedicated room after service.

Babies & Toddlers
Babies and toddlers under two years old are welcome to play on a soft mat area at the back of the sanctuary under parent supervision. Some toys are provided but feel free to bring your own.
Worried about making noise or interrupting the service at times? Don’t worry, we love the sound of children.
Preschool
Preschool children start our worship service in the sanctuary with their families. After some singing and the kids moment (a time when children are invited to come up the front for a brief teaching), the children then walk with their leaders to the church hall. Children ages two years to kindergarten are located in the nursery room.
We use a curriculum that provides easy-to-learn Bible stories to help children grow in their faith. We use hands-on activities like games, the arts, and object lessons, and we eat a snack together.
School Age
School-age children join the 5pm worship service in the sanctuary with their families. After some singing and kids moment (a time when children are invited to come up to the front for a brief teaching), the children walk with their leaders to the church hall. Children grades 1-3 are located in the lounge and grades 4-5 are in the Faith Room.

Youth
In our youth group everyone, no matter their background, can feel safe and welcome. On Sundays during adult service, we hang out in the gym, eat snacks, and chat about Jesus! On Fridays, some of us join CREO Youth where we hang out with a larger group of friends and have fun building our faith together.
