Mission: We are committed to reflecting Christ’s life and ethos through the practice of generous hospitality.
As followers of Christ, we believe God’s love knows no limits. God took on human form and moved into the neighbourhood in the person of Jesus. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and dismantled many systems of injustice.
We are honoured to partner with our neighbours at Lookout Housing and Health Society to open our doors and serve as a site for BC Housing’s Temporary Winter Shelter from November 1 through to April 15.
With almost 50 years of experience in providing emergency shelter services and long-term housing solutions, Lookout lends their expertise to the shelter at Tenth Church. Temporary shelters open annually through a partnership with the City of Vancouver and BC Housing to provide additional shelter capacity for people experiencing homelessness, to keep them safe and warm during the winter months.
Open November 1 through to April 15
Tenth Mt Pleasant, 11 W 10th Ave, Vancouver

Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 25:35-36;40
